Turbine Services & Solutions Industrial (TS&S Industrial) has had a big presence at ADIPEC for many years and 2016 proved to be another successful show for TS&S Industrial.
“Every year at ADIPEC is good for us and this year our stand was busy,” said Saeed. The CEO of TS&S said that despite the low oil price environment the industrial division, which works with the oil and gas industry, had a good year. “The oil and gas business has been affected by the low oil prices but as we are a Mubadala company and we are made up of two divisions under one management team we have been ableto weather the storm. The beauty of our set-up is that we can capitalise on the synergies, effi ciencies and benefits that one management team can bring to two divisions. We can look at redeploying manpower from one side of the business to the other. Or bring in new cost saving measures,” explained Saeed.
“TS&S Industrial is mainly focused in the UAE, which in itself is a huge market and we are tapping into this. We are also in the MENA region as well and are present in Yemen, Iraq and Oman,” he added. During ADIPEC TS&S Industrial made a signifi cant announcement that it had expanded its capabilities for the repair and overhaul of the Siemens Industrial Trent 60 WLE variant. The new services makes TS&S Industrial the fi rst independently owned maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) provider with the capability to support the Industrial Trent 60 WLE variant. TS&S Industrial already services the Industrial Trent 60 DLE but the new services extends the company’s service offering to support the full Industrial Trent 60 product portfolio with its two variants, DLE and WLE.
According to TS&S the Industrial Trent 60 has established a new benchmark for fuel economy and cost savings and offers operators fast delivery and installation times and beneficial performance. “The announcement at ADIPEC is in line with our strategy of working more closely with the OEM’s. This partnership with OEM’s is a real source of strength for us,” said Saeed. TS&S Industrial has an established relationship and will operate the new variant capability from its state-of-the-art turbine repair facility, located within Abu Dhabi. He added: “Our relationship are with OEM’s are based on long term partnerships and strategic goals. I hope that in the future TS&S will be able to explore the Asian and European markets.”
The growth of TS&S Industrial service offering is in-line with the Abu Dhabi Economic Vision 2030 by providing operators with localised access to technical innovations and equipment, as
well as creating domestic operations for this service.
In conclusion, TS&S CEO said that the firm: “sees great advancement in turbine technology for the oil and gas sector and the main advancement will be in the materials that will be used.”
