Amer is an Executive Director in Mubadala’s UAE Investment Platform where he serves as Head of Asset Management for the UAE Clusters, a portfolio of operating companies across the Aviation, Space, Healthcare, and ICT sectors. Amer is responsible for the portfolio’s performance as well as overseeing, managing, and ensuring the execution of the overall strategy of the operating assets. He has been with Mubadala since 2009 and during 2010 to 2017 has also served as the Chief Financial Officer of Strata Manufacturing PJSC, a Mubadala entity within the composite aero-structures manufacturing business.

Prior to joining Mubadala, Amer has held senior roles for some of the worlds leading blue-chip organizations such as PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), Cable & Wireless PLC, Halifax Bank of Scotland PLC (HBOS) and Dubai World. With 25 years of experience across a wide section of industries segments and cross border international jurisdictions, Amer possess in depth experience and knowledge within the areas of Commercial & Financial Due Diligence, Investment Appraisal, Financial Control, Business Performance, Mergers & Acquisitions and Risk Management.

Amer is a Fellow (FCA) with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales (ICAEW) as well as holds a BA (Honors) Degree in Accounting & Finance from Kingston Business School, London, UK.

Board & Committee Positions: Chairman of the Board of Directors at Sanad Group, Vice Chairman of Board of Directors at Strata Manufacturing PJSC and Member of the Nominations and Remuneration Committee (NRC) at Yahsat PJSC, a public company listed on Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange.
